White Wine from Burgundy, France — DOMAINE DE VILLAINE 2017

Tonight was a white wine night so it was time for Domaine De Villaine 2017 from the Bouzeron AOC which is located in the Côte Chalonnaise region of Bourgogne (Burgundy) France. ⁣

TERMINUM WINES: White Wine from Mendocino County, CA

Tonight was a perfect night for Terminum Wines 2018 Cépages d'Or Alder Springs Vineyard White Wine from Mendocino County, CA. The blend is Marsanne, Roussanne, Picpoul Blanc and Viognier and aged on lees.

A burst of fresh flowers and peaches on the nose. On the palate, I got white licorice, fennel, chammomile, marmalade, and Barlett pear. There was a puckery acid that was lovely and I assume that was from picpoul blanc. This was absolutely beautiful! It was fragrant and layered with some really interesting notes each and every time you went back to the glass.

Grilled up some lemon sole, fresh corn and salad I picked from my garden. A perfect pairing!
