Decided to take a trip to Keens Steakhouse in NYC to celebrate my birthday with our close friends. ⁣ ⁣ Here I am with Wine Director, James Conley, who is also one of the spirits judges at the Ultimate Beverage Challenge .

It was lovely to see him in his element at the restaurant, and we really enjoyed the tour of this 135-year old steakhouse. Especially noteworthy is the blood-stained playbill Lincoln was holding at Ford’s theater.⁣ ⁣

Our favorite bottle of the night was the W.T. Vintners 2014 Syrah from Walla Walla, WA. This wine got a big “wow” from the table and James mentioned that it was one of his favorites from the wine list. It had stunning notes of blueberry, blackberry, spices and vanilla. Absolutely gorgeous. ⁣ ⁣ James and everyone at Keens: Thank you so much for the love & attention you gave to us! ⁣
