Here I am drinking another knockout from New Zealand: Loveblock Pinot Noir 2014 🍷
This is the former owner/winemaker of the popular Kim Crawford wines. He sold the name of the company (which is his real name) in 2003. It wasn’t until 2009 that the contract’s non-compete allowed him to start making wine again — but of course he had to come up with a new company name! This 2014 Pinot Noir was classy and mature. Beautiful flavors of black cherry, sweet berries and plum linger with a nice smoky finish. Gorgeous wine. They practice sustainable farming and follow organic certification standards — good practices when caring for the land that grows the grapes!
