Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey awarded 95 Points from the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge

Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey

Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey

Named in honor of Samuel Bronfman, a Canadian businessman who acquired Seagram’s in 1928. Samuel took control of the business after prohibition came to an end in the United States. Known as “Mister Sam,” he built Seagram’s into the largest distiller in the United States and Canada⁣ ⁣.

Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey is a blend of American and Canadian whiskies that was created by Drew Mayville, the current Master Blender for Sazerac (which acquired Seagram’s in 2019). Mayville previously was the Master Blender for Seagram’s for 22 years.⁣ ⁣

Awarded 95 points at the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge held by Ultimate Beverage Challenge, the judges described it as “sweet and spicy aromatics, combined orchards fruits like nectarine, apricot, and cherry, with intense woodsy cigar box. Followed by the layers of vanilla kissed spice that linger after each sip.”⁣ ⁣ With only 1200 bottles released, this certainly is a collector’s item worth seeking out. ⁣
