Happy Sauvignon Blanc Day!! Today I am talking about Smith & Sheth CRU Sauvignon Blanc 2019 from Wairu, New Zealand. ✨

Wairu Valley is a district in the famous Marlbourough wine region of New Zealand. This is usually where you find the bold, tropical, intense Sauvignon Blanc wines. ✨

This wine was created by Master of Wine @stevesmithmw and business partner, Brian Sheth. Their site promises notes of nectarines and citrus characters, with a bright finish. ✨

My taste buds are screaming to drink this. But believe it or not, I am going to store this one away. Smith and Sheth says this can hold for another 5 years — meaning it’s ready now but will continue to evolve deliciously for the next couple of years. I would love to see the flavor development after some time in the cellar. This is the fun side of wine. Sooo...I’m going store this one away for a bit and excitedly await a whole new level of flavors. Well, at least that’s the plan......
