Went out to a wine tasting dinner last night at Argana restaurant & bar in Port Chester, NY. The theme of the evening was Argentinian wines paired with the Moroccan cuisine.
My favorite of the evening was the 2012 Abremundos Pagina Uno. This beautiful blend of Cabernet Franc & Merlot had notes of violets, blueberry, bramble with just a tiny bit of smoke. Only 600 bottles produced. I had this with the Short Rib Tagine and it paired beautifully with the flavors of the stewed meat, apricots, and nuts. A perfect combination of flavors.
Great dinner with great friends. So happy we still had a chance to eat outside and enjoy the cool weather.
